Hi, I am looking for specifications on how to encode and decode DataMatrix symbols. Are the mentioned corresponding ISO standards detailed enough to this level. I need it for my undergraduate project.

There is a very good decoder at INTELCOM (a russian company), I was very impressed when I took their demo program to decode some of my worst pictures of data matrix codes. But it is NOT FREE, and I don’t know, how to get it.

i need visual codes used in digital imagery of the matrix for example i need framing, one third position, leading lines and symbols.

Geva: If you are still looking for an open source decoder you should check out libdmtx (www.libdmtx.org). It’s not 100% complete, but it’s LGPL and might be helpful.
