This site is from now on WordPress-powered

As mentioned a few days earlier i’ve decided to switch to wordpress as my blog cms of choice, and now i’m finally done with the transition. All in all it took me about three days to get the templates finished and the conversion scripts for the old database written (actually not three full days, but rather three days of sporadic work).
There’s still lots of stuff to do: i’m not quite satisfied with the archives-pages and i have to hack some code together to keep the old permalinks more or less working, but right now i’m quite satisfied. Wordpress really looks and feels great and i’m very happy that i finally got a new toy to play with.
Along with the new cms i now have a nice looking sidebar to fill. I’ve moved the “about” and “contact” stuff there. Furthermore there are links to the archives, rss feeds, a search box, and a new section “list-linkage” where i’ll post noteworthy links i stumble across but don’t feel the need to write about. Currently there’s now rss-feed for those links available, but i hope the fine folks who create and improve wordpress will fix that sooner than later.
Welcome wordpress, good bye old-blog-scripts, it was a great time both working on and with you for almost a year, but i won’t miss you too much - wordpress is just so much better.
Update: most old inbound links should work now again thanks to some simple page redirects. If you encounter any broken links or other problems, please let me know.
