New dedicated ebook reader: dead before arrival?

I really can’t see how this ebook reader could overcome hardcopies. It looks to me that it offers no single advantage over any already existing device used for reading ebooks (like pdas and tablet pcs) while carrying along all disadvantages of classic paperbacks, like the necessity of flipping pages (opposed to scrolling, or even more comfortable, auto-scrolling) and the need to carry a separate device just for reading a book. Instead one could save some few hundred bucks and just buy the original paperback, which would most likely weigh less. Dedicated ebook readers just make no sense at all.
