Two new PPC Phone Edition devices released by Sprint

Brighthand and infosync report that sprint will release samsungs sph-i700 and hitachis g1000 (the one with integrated digicam and thumbboard!). I really like the hitachi, i’m convinced that thumbboards are essential for professional connected devices (as integrated digicams are for consumer devices).

New toys from CeBIT-floors

There are tons of great new gadgets @cebit, some of the following already mentioned here, some not.
Mobile review got a great article on samsungs new mobile phones presented @cebit, and there’s great new stuff for everyone, no matter if he prefers palm os, symbian or ppc. I’m still not sure if i love the new palm os unit or the series60 device more…

The register got a nice article on personal phone hubs, imho one of the most promising technologies for the near future. I just don’t understand why they didn’t link this article @phonescoop, although they mentioned it.

Again the register, this time on microsofts new media2go platform. For me personally the most interesting part in this article was their hint on archos’ jukebox multimedia 20, which is already available. Till now i dreamed of an ipod, but this one looks even better to me.

First notebooks powered by centrino coming in

I still can’t believe how great those new centrino-notebooks look (at least on the spec-sheet). Check out samsungs new x10 for example: 1.4ghz pentium-m cpu, geforce 4 go, 60gb hdd, a 14" display, internal combo-drive, weighing in @1.8 kg! Till now i thought the new 12" apple powerbook is a lightweight considering its featureset, but next to that samsung it looks really clumsy! Check out sonys new vaio z1, looks nice, too.

Samsung about to drop MS Smartphone?

After recent (highly doubtable) rumours that samsung will drop palm os there are new rumours claiming that samsung will drop ms smartphone in favor of nokia series60. Nothing confirmed yet, but considering that samsung didn’t show a single ms smartphone @cebit, it’s at least possible that those rumours are true, especially cause they come from a pro-ms-site.
